ABQ Secular Homeschool Collaborative
Fall 2026 Registration for Rising Embers Theatre will begin June 15, 2026
In order to participate in the Rising Embers program, you must first apply to be a member of ABQ Secular Homeschool Collaborative here
THEATER POLICES
Students do not need to audition in order to participate in Rising Embers Theatre. All who register will be in the show. However, all actors will audition on the first day of rehearsals in order for directors to determine the roles.
In the past, every actor has had a role with at least a couple of lines. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find plays with large casts where every actor has a role with lines. Parents should prepare their children for the possibility that some actors may be cast in an ensemble role with little to no lines.
COST PER SEMESTER
$150 per child - $10 sibling discount
Due June 2026
Parents should also be prepared to purchase some costume pieces for their child - shoes, under clothes, and other basic pieces.
VOLUNTEERING

Production help - sets, props, costumes

Front of house help - concessions, tickets, ushers, lobby monitors

Backstage help - costuming, hair/makeup, supervision

**NEW** - Outreach. Help with advertising the show, finding schools to see a school time performance, collect sponsorships, send press releases, advertise the show and more
Volunteers receive a free ticket the show!
FALL 2026 REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE DATES
All rehearsals and performance dates are mandatory.
Any conflicts must be pre-approved by the directors.
No absences will be approved for the month of November.
